EB Grafting and Surface Functionalization | Giving Substrates More Durable Surface Functions

Based on EBR roll-to-roll equipment, EB grafting can introduce more stable surface functions onto films, fibers, nonwovens and filter media to improve wettability, interface bonding, adsorption and functional durability.

Many substrates already meet bulk-performance requirements, but their surfaces may not. EB grafting uses the electron beam to create active sites on the surface and then attach functional monomers to the surface layer. It is suited to materials that need functions to remain stable during washing, friction, solvents, heat exposure or long-term use.
